3D printing an iris box with my Creality Ender 3. This little object is a test of the precision capabilities of a 3D printer. The entire object is printed in place including the interior mechanical features that allow the box to open and close by twisting the bottom ring. I downloaded the print file from Thingiverse. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1817180 Sliced in Cura 3.6 - .2mm layer height, 20% infill, 8mm brim, no supports, 10.4 meters of PLA filament, 3.5 hour print time. Note: It took a little squeezing to work the mechanism lose so it would open and close smoothly.
