alittlebitowinter

I must say that I no longer mind winter as much as I did in upstate NY since it only happens a couple of days at a time out here.  22,37,22,0,W

That's my idea of winter, oh yea! I'm telling you, I Left Hoosierland in 1972 for good reasons, then winters in Chicago. 1975 led me to Flordia and south of the Mason-Dixon Line until 1995. I'm being regretful of living in Northlands these days for more reason than the weather.

Can't wait to be part of the Winter (and Summer) scene out there. Retirement looms ever closer.

Y'know what you might consider including in your weather report at the end of your posts? Relative humidity. I've been in some dry places in Mexico where the temperature was very high, but it was bearable. On the other hand, a friend and I drove (not even exerting ourselves or anything) from Nuevo Laredo to Texarkana one hot August day without AC, and we were in some distress. The Winter we're having in Michigan this year is what I'd call an "old fashioned Winter" like we had on the farm when I was a boy, and it's not kidding around. Yet, it's more bearable to me than the temperatures you report in the Summer would be, unless the humidity stays low, that is.
RH can make a very big difference.

During the summer the relative humidity is rarely above 10%.
