Too bad they don't have drone delivery in your area.

Yes, there is drone delivery in San Antonio starting soon for Amazon, I think.

Drone deliveries from Amazon, or anyone else for that matter, won't be happening in our lifetime.

I don't know ... storks have been delivering babies for years.

I'm a little skeptical myself for home deliveries but drones are going to change the world in many other ways. For instance, drones CAN deliver life-saving medicine to places it would take days on roads - like Johns on rainy days... :-) ... we'll see them as first responders after hurricanes and other natural disasters... the police will be using them to chase bad guys, a drone could be used by folks looking for their herds or other animals.. crop dusting, they could be used to look for lost hikers or kids..illegals etc.. but probably not pizza or amazon deliveries except as publicity stunts.

put a license plate reader on a drone sitting by a highway waiting - as soon as it gets a "hit" - it follows the vehicle transmitting the gps location to police as it follows - as well as video of the vehicle. The military will start (if not already) using drones as forward observers and reconnaissance instead of humans...

many of these things are already in development or already deployed...

don't think of drones as "vehicles" that move all the time. Think of them as trusty dogs with wings, eyes and ears that sit quietly until needed.....

Yes absolutely,I had a drone deliver my medical weed the other day in the nick of time.I was down to my last prescribed dose. On the other hand, maybe I was stoned and imagined it...never mind...

geeze - never thought of that... I guess that pretty much destroys the Govt anti-drug efforts also, eh? ;-)
