corrupt before God

Genesis 6:And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

I wonder how long it will be before the radical muslim (is there any other kind) strike out. I can imagine them orchastrating a terrorist event during the Christmas season at all of our major shopping areas all on the same night...I hope that they are not that organized. People need to be alert and on the look out and not afraid to speak out for fear of being politically incorrect.

Don't get me started. I have to laugh at Jim. :-) I think he got it right. Shawn, I would not worry about that now.

Thankfully, we now have concealed carry laws - which permit us to defend ourselves and others - when attacked by these barbarians. Those cowards love to kill unarmed people - who cannot fight back! If a dozen Frenchmen had weapons in that Concert Hall Slaughterhouse - I do not believe so many would have died. Like the Boy Scout motto advises - BE PREPARED!

A perfect reminder to us of the coming of God's wrath. He will only tolerate turning against him for so long. The evil in this World is horrendous. We have removed God from every corner of our daily lives. Our children are being turned against God by the School system. I pray to God every day to protect those that believe in him and help those that have the power to make changes. God, hear our prayers. Amen

@Ronald,

I agree with your premise, but...can you imagine in a dark, noisy, very crowded space (1,500 people) with flashing lights, that if you added in 12 additional shooters, most likely not too skilled with a handgun, that the outcome would have been better? Since the shooting occurred on the floor level, I'm certain if you had 12 people with handguns, and most would likely have had a little to drink or smoke, that there would have been more fatalities, not fewer. I know it's easy to sit at home and speculate that 12 additional shooters among the crowd of 1,500 would have prevented the outcome. The shooters also were wearing explosives with deadman detonators. No amount of firepower would have prevented the detonations.

I think the NRA and the vocal minority have led people down the garden path with their proclamations of more firepower is the only solution in one of these situations. Sadly, many people have bought in to the rhetoric. You put somebody with a gun in a situation like that and the predictable outcome will not be like what you see in the movies. That's just fantasy.

I'm not making an argument for or against CC, open carry or anything else. I'm just pointing out the flaw in the argument that more firepower will solve a problem. And I'm sure there are those who read this blog who are going to start shouting me down for the simple sake that they can do that anonymously. But first, they should imagine themselves in that very situation, and be realistic about what their likely reaction would be. To run like h*ll, not draw, seek out the shooters and angle for a close range shot.
