Water on, get wet, water off. Suds down. Water on, rinse off. OR like the Japanese do it at a steam bath..... Medium wood bucket full of water, splash and/or pour water on body part parts. Suds up and scrub. Pour or splash bucket water on to rinse off. (Then ease into hot steam tub and soak). Can you save your runoff shower water to use as gray water for other chores? Then it would be more worthwhile as scarce as water is there.

I hardly find the thought of 10 hours of heavy rain to be relaxing. That much water would mean no more roads on Terlingua Ranch.
You could put pontoons on your paraglider. :)

Could that be Ketchikan, Alaska? I always said if you are a fugitive, you could hide out there. Just put on a military dark green rain cape with hood like I did and bend down to protect from the constant downpour and pull the hood over most of the face and nobody will see you in plain sight.
Anybody that thinks the Chihuahan Desert gets excessive rain - will have no use for their boat (nor anything requiring water to float) for use on the Terlingua Ranch. It is so dry on this ranch - most of the large lakes (like Lake Ament and Cedar Springs Lake) now are only a fraction of their former depth! Heck, they used to have rowboats on Lake Ament - to entertain property owners.
