hiked in...

Had a couple of unexpected visitors today.  When they came walking up, my first thought was they got stuck and needed help.  Luckily they were smart enough to know just how far to drive out my muddy road and hiked the rest of the way.  Near as I can tell, they walked a little over a mile to visit TFL.  They even packed in a 12 pack of beer!  Had a nice visit with two Aarons from Ohio.  Got a little more welding done then a light sprinkle showed up so I closed up shop for the day.  73,77,63, .02",B

My people came from Ohio from way back. I was born in Columbus. They look like Klan people to me. I saw some good looking horses today that were in a Veterans Parade here in San Antonio. Being ethnicity-wise Cossack/Mongolian Russian (along with German and British), I really wanted to mount since I used to be a jumper. One saddled horse came over and stood there but I left. I thought about boarding a horse but since I have dogs that would be much perhaps.

Adyghe Circassian Russian women were always renowned for their beauty (the young ones :-)) and also worldwide for their horse -woman -ship. When I was young I had my picture on a worldwide Girl Scout magazine cover and enlarged in a photography window in Berkeley,CA. They also married and knew a lot of royalty as I did and were models and movie stars. I was asked to be in John Wayne movies. They were also long-lived people of the world and had some beautiful big Caucasion Mountain herding, protection dogs. They were peaceful people and did not have a written language until within the last 100 years. However the aristocratic/Royal Adyghean people were educated in France and usually only spoke that language and several others (I spoke 7 languages). They were friends with the Tsar and I think when the others did not cooperate in 1864 and there was genocide of 90% of a Circassian race of people that my people had the money and could escape to America and were the survivors of only 10% of a race. They ran all over the world. (Dr. OZ is half Adyghean and half Turkish). There were a lot of Circassians who escaped to Syria too.

Love that your first thought was that someone needed your help

Actually...I was dreading that because there was nothing I could do for them if they were stuck in the mud. The last time I tried to help someone out, I got stuck and got a flat tire.

Just pondering on whether God cares if we think we can do something He shows us that needs to be done. I think that knowing and trying is the important part. Sometimes we are gifted with the intention of doing without the need to do it! Growing up in East Texas and on the Coast, pulling somebody out of the bar ditch was just something that needed doing.

My grandfather did it with his mules or later his pickup. My Dad did it with the tractor he used to plow the fields. I never had the privilege. However, when I heard the squeal/crash of somebody hitting the bridge by the nursery (plants.) I did have enough first aid to immediately start running to help.

As I recall, pulling somebody out of the mud required a couple of boards and some expertise to get the chain or rope set just right.

Actually, Klan folk would probably be packing weaponry and displaying Klan tattoos, Stars and Bars, etc., and not a necklace, IMHO.
