that is mighty big for 5 weeks old.
The size difference is a little deceiving because the baby is about four feet in front of his momma...plus - they grow really fast.
Always enjoy seeing pictures of the kids.
That explains it! I was beginning to feel sorry for the mama having a nearly full grown baby.

yes...
Our local herd is growing...but not to the point of being an overpopulation problem. Unfortunately, the locals will probably start shooting them if someone dies in a car accident after hitting a burro...especially if it is a well known local.
I don't care what anybody says, those are magnificent animals.
