Yes, how about getting Ben a heifer companion in 2017! Then you won't have gelding issues. I still feel sad about Ben's friend that got sent to the knacker. Merry Christmas John & fellow blog-followers! (See, no war on Christmas from this non-believer!)
No more cattle for me...Ben is expensive enough to feed as is. As long as Javier keeps coming in at night, Ben is happy. If anything, I will get a goat for him as a companion.
I still vote for a rescue dog. We could have a name-that-dog contest! ;-)
No more dogs for me...too much emotional attachment.
I know what you mean John. Dogs steal your heart. Each time I lose one I say no more, but I can't seem to go very long without their companionship. It's painful at the end but I think the dogs would say its worth it.
Harsh reality: It can be more painful to lose some dogs than it is to lose some people. We should all appreciate our many blessings.
What Sam said. My dog just turned 8 and I am already dreading her passing. I'll get a second dog pretty soon now. Agree that a goat, or a couple of goats? --would make a fine companion for Ben!
