Thanks for showing this detail. Was wondering why use a diaphragm pump for this application; and whether you had external check valves on the pump inlet and outlet piping ? Check valves might keep the bees out.
If you shower every other month you could save water.

Ha. I only shower about once a week myself. Better for the skin.
