Every morning Chupa gets a corn tortilla for breakfast. I refer to it as a "Chupa burger" and he know very well that means he is about to get his favorite meal. More proof that roosters love corn. Will he walk away from a flour tortilla - or gobble it down also?

Oh my, he was so excited to see you. He was just talking away. And his eyes were so bright when he ate the taco? Do chickens have feelings and feel pain? That was the all night discussion on a radio program in a remote area of Alaska. It was in regard about whether we should raise chickens for food.

Just enjoyed an encore "Breakfast with Chupa" ... might even be better the second time around. That's one happy chicken! John, please excuse me, but I have to ask, is that one cinder block enough security for Chupa's door? With so many toothy critters anxious to invite him to dinner, I can't help but picture some bad scenarios.

There is a latched gate door covered with 1/4" mesh hardware cloth behind the piece of fencing braced with the cinder block...and yes, just the fencing alone with the cinder block is not enough. Manny got killed during the week I had the inner gate removed for repair.

Sounds top notch!
