Decided it was finally time to clean out the greenhouse which has been a junkyard for 3 years. I often refer to cleaning up on this scale as a giant Rubik's Cube of chaos - lots of shuffling until the correct order is found. People often warn me that once I throw something away - I will immediately need it. I am only getting rid of the stuff that has sat for too long and has just been waiting (for years) on final judgement. If I haven't needed it by now and can't come up with an immediate use - it goes. I try not to get too bogged down on those decisions - it is time for a merciless surgical strike. Most of this is about reorganizing and putting things away that I still have interest in. Job well done Mr Wells. Chupa looked very pleased at your clean up task.
Chupa was very encouraging and helpful during he process...
You got that done expiditiously. My mother commented about how she thought it was o.k. to watch people work and her mother when I was 12 walked with me at night through a rich area and showed me how nice it was to look in rich peoples windows (odd I thought). And her sister left her window shades open at night so people could look in and see how well she lived after moving out of Appalachia. Oh, well. Glad you got it done. (I think dog walkers just become voyeuristic snoops. The Baptist Bible teachers told us we should not talk to strangers so why should I gleefully greet a dog walker I never saw before first thing in the morning when I am taking my garbage out in my robe with my uncombed hair in my face?)
You are very inspirational Mr. Wells.
Today a warehouse of Sams Club went out of business in San Antonio with 25% off everything. It was so sad to me like a funeral because I used to shop there when I lived in town. Since I had to go in, I thought I would look around. It was a 2 hr. wait in line. But I had to follow someone to get a cart. Security said I had to go back to the end of the line even if it was bad for my health (but I found my friend in line). I lost my temper. It was insane. Fun, fun, fun. I saved $57.00 because I spent some money. I bought 3 memory foam large dog beds in anticipation of cleaning their area. We'll see. I am still cleaning up the scraps of the dog beds they chewed up but they are older now and not young puppies. (Does any of this make sense?) :-)
(So the joke is, if you want my shopping cart, that will be $20.00).
Shelving. Labelled clear plastic lidded containers. Put stuff back in it's place every time you are finished. You know the drill, it's just the execution that's an issue. Looks nice.
It pretty much comes down to deciding that cleaning up is less painful than living with the chaos. And all my recent visitors seemed so sad when they've seen the conditions in there. Having to find subject matter for 100 new videos this year also helped...
Your pet rooster is starting to act like a dog the way he hangs out with you. Very cool!
Green House? Why don't you change the name to "Catch All" and maybe that will reverse the phycology and you will actually plant something that will increase the self sustainable life you have created.
