I love the "Pickers" shows where they go around the country looking for places to "pick" and invariably - when they find a place - the folks who own - don't throw away ANYTHING... they're hoarders!
Too far out to have a yard sale?
we have folks who put stuff out on the street with a sign that says "free". !
THEN whatever is left stays there for the trash truck!
as they say..one man's trash...
I put something out a few years ago with a "free" sign and two woman stopped and fought over it. lol
Nothing in this load had any value...
I would like to be there when the boys at the check point sift through it for contraband and illegals.
The checkpoint is miles north of John and Terlingua.
looks like Mr. Clean was there…
That net is a good way to keep things from flying. Once there were some pretty Easter baskets in the street garbage in San Antonio when I was walking my dog. I was interested in taking a basket for decoration but the neighbors were watching me like a hawk. I felt like a thief so I walked on without a basket for decoration.
One load at a time. You got this.
You motivate me John. My girls are so worried that they will have to have a 40 yard container brought in when I'm gone.
We do Church pickups for our thrift shop. A good percent of them are children cleaning out their parents homes...and most do end up with a "pile" that has to be hauled off... even a lot of stuff that goes to the thrift shop were treasured mementos of the parents that had no similar connection to the kids so they get sold.
