Chupa likes it… translates to snuggy time in the casita…
and plenty of hot water out of the new kettle…
maybe even some Funche…
cornmeal breakfast porridge
or even some mealworms & ginger…
OK, the last one just seems wrong…
A chicken pretty much doesn't care what it eats...and will eat garbage if offered. There is never a need to prepare fancy meals for them. The people that share these kinds of sites probably knit sweaters for their chickens too. An NO...chickens don't need sweaters either.
geez Mr. Wells, I was just joking…besides I'm too busy knitting sweaters for sticks to do any chicken-ware ;-]
stay warm.
flying needles
just say no to chicken sweaters
Nancy
speaking of what's on the menu (for humans)…
edible clay and dirt
Caliche Poke Bowl
Yes, it is. Cold and ice.
rooster hen chicken… NO sweater for you!
Hey Remij - Chupa is more like a pet - than a breeder for the long gone egg laying chickens.. And it probably helps to have a rooster in his cabin to keep him company? Heck, I even let my Hunting Lab sleep indoors when it gets this cold (10F today). My dog is 9 years old & has never seen so much snow.
Heck Mr. Mahan, I couldn't agree more… when the temp dips, my wife even lets me sleep inside…
sometimes…
and the lights have to be off… it does help if there is snow on the ground. Dilly, dilly.
here's to warmer weather…
I know it’s January and it’s cold and icy, but remember when you used to build cool, innovative stuff? I guess all the big projects at TFL are done, and now it’s just a matter of keeping entropy at bay.
Any projects in the works for the spring/summer? Even just working on the Airstream would be a good change of pace, from this reader’s perspective.
WelP,
It's official, I'm going to be moving there in February. I won't have any animals, sadly, I have still to determine what to do with my cat, whom I rescued from a shelter 2 years ago. She is a ball of THICK fur, wouldn't last a day in the heat. John is sure blessed to be the center of attention of so many diverse characters of wildlife. I for one, am looking forward to the warm sun again! And I may be bringing my BIG telescope after all, I bought it over 14 years ago to travel to dark sites, 4 corners area chiefly. Now I will be living in one. Praise God. Can you say observatory?
Liked the Seinfeld link Jimmer :D
John I love the comment on knitting sweaters for chickens. That's the since of humor of John wells that I love. Stay warm
