Atheist Meme

A "Facebook friend" posted this meme this morning.

This was my reply:
"This argument is incredibly flawed and is just another lame attempt by atheists to vilify Christianity.  Abortion as a means of contraception and helping fellow humans are both "religious concerns", but simply allowing people to circumvent the law when it comes to immigration has nothing to do with the argument.  However, when you flop the meme - the argument becomes valid."

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

I'm an atheist and I don't agree with the meme, either. It's a false equivalency. Which is a typical tactic of the left.

(Matthew 25:31–46). By welcoming and serving those that society doesn’t value, we welcome and serve God.

(Matthew 18:6–7, NIV)
"If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!”

Dan...that meme is a typical tactic of atheists. FYI - The Holy Spirit is real - you might want to give it a shot. There will be no turning back if you don't.

I was a Christian for 30+ years. The illusion of a "holy Spirit" isn't anything new to me. So, I'm good. But thanks for your concern. And if believing magical tales and myths allows you to be happier, more power to you. 👍

Cheers!

It is a shame you were "a Christian" for 30+ years and never experienced The Holy Spirit. I imagine that you merely attended church all that time as I did growing up with no mention of rebirth in Christ and the gift of The Holy Spirit.

John... I can respect your choice to believe in something without any proof or evidence of its existence. In return, please do not presume to know what my experience was as a Christian. I attended a Pentecostal church most of that time. I know all about what constitutes "salvation" and the "gifts" that you refer to.

The point of this meme is to point out the hypocrisy of the religious.
Since i am pro-life, what is your excuse?
It's easy to get good people to do good things and to get bad people to do bad things. But to get good people to do bad things, that takes religion.
