personal shade...

Finished getting all the rafters back in place and trimmed the ends this morning.  Ended up having to cut 11 new ones.  My friend Joe Blumentritt bought me a big hat to keep me out of the sun until I get all the shade put back together.  86,95,70,0,B

Nice hat! I found my wide-brimmed straw hat in D.C. of all places.

You mentioned that there was some sheathing that was not usable- one possible use for these smaller pieces might be skirting to close off the leading edge of the underside of the lead porch so that it doesn't pressurize.

Nascar does this. The air dams on the fronts of the cars are a fraction of an inch from the pavement and keep the underside from pressurizing, resulting in downforce.

WhyR...Are you a contractor? or just someone who surfs the net and offers insight that isn't based on real world experience. Regardless...best you just sit back and watch. FYI - my blog is a diary...not a dialog.

Now that's a hat! Don't see how you could do better.

Actually, I am a contractor, but I'm not looking for work.
You don't know my real world experience.
My main interest, in my recent comments was in helping to keep your little house from getting blown away. Again.
But I'll take your advice.

Gee, what a great view from your new casa!
That hat sure will keep the sun off the back of the ears! Looking forward to seeing the finished view!

This isn't my casa. I am building it for a friend who has property near me.
