I want to use 14' 1x4 furring strips for this job but my local building supply only carries 1x2s in 8' lengths. Ripping 2x4s in half is a lot cheaper than buying their standard 1x4s. Other than potential safety hazard seemed to work fine. But then again you are in Texas so maybe they don't have the same *&(*&^$#(_%W safety rules there.
Lol @ Carl. :-) Well, good job again, John. I just wanted to crawl right in the picture and enjoy the area and view. Imagine being able to do all that out there without even having electricity. You might live a long time John with all the work and moving around that you do. That is so beneficial.
I was at the lake today and this area is booming. The population has gone up around here by another 1/2 million. Much traffic.
