Might I suggest installing a PVC-PTFE ball valve as the full-line-size isolation valve closest to the tank ?
As you probably know, that globe valve with a washer will eventually need to be opened up or removed for maintenance.
If that line at the bottom of the tank is ever going to be a suction line to a pump, you need at least a 1.5 inch line.
Also, a globe valve produces a lot of pressure drop in a suction line, which is usually best to avoid.

I've had these valves on all my tanks for 10 years and have never had an issue using them with a 12 VDC pump nor have I ever had to change a washer.
Nice! The silver paint should be a good UV-block, so the plastic will last a while.
Good idea on painting the PVC gray gives it a polished look.
