I was thinking that since you seem to like building things and now you're growing some veggies, that you might want to try an Earthtainer. http://earthtainer.tomatofest.com/pdfs/EarthTainer-Construction-Guide.pdf

Thank you John Wells - for sharing your precious water with those thirsty rabbits. I think there are many thirsty animals - due to our prolonged drought!

I stumbled upon your NYT article last week and became immediately intrigued. Upon arriving at your blog, I went back and read every entry, clicked every photo and glanced at every link posted. Your journey into a life of self-sustaining energy is extremely impressive and inspiring.

Now that I’m all caught up, I look forward to checking in daily to see the goings on at TFL. All my best to you, Benita and all of your wonderful neighbors and friends! ¡Salud!

Hi John

Man that greenhouse is really coming along. Wow I am very impressed with the work you have done by yourself! Cant wait to meet you this fall when we come down to set up the ranch. The Tomatoes look great.

Sure hope you guys have read about what temps tomatoes need to set fruit. Right now you are above the normally accepted day time high and soon will be above the night time low requirements. At least if you keep them well watered they will make a nice ornamental plant.

I have to say there is Nothing Better than Mater samwiches with Homemade bread ( and ifn you get to many rabbits hanging around ) a bit of Fresh meat to make it stick to the ribs .. Otherwise I think I would just feed and water them and let them go about their owh way ...
