drill bits, files, and a keen eye
Assembled the gimbal stand. Decided late last night how to proceed with a firm mount. Ended up having to slick out two nice round holes with a bit of effort for the pipe mount. The rig went together like clockwork - swings and tilts like a charm.
Just got delivery of 2 radiator fans slated for greenhouse ventilation and some oven knobs. If you are ever looking for a cheap 12VDC kick ass fan...look at automotive supply. These were 16" diameter and $27 each. People always ask me how do you control the temperature with a solar oven. A dial temperature knob on a solar oven has multiple implications. 96,109,72,0,B,0

"A dial temperature knob on a solar oven has multiple implications" Bwahahahahaha...
Why didn't you use a hole saw of the correct size?
The first one being organic psychosis...lmao
Are you going to trick it out with a solar tracker on the yaw axis and a temp sensor controlling the pitch axis?
tffnguy: Most likely he didnt have the correct size, the trip to the store was to far for a one time use and the cost. Grainger has them starting around 70$. At least thats my common sense guess coming from Florida.
Must be hot out there eh ?
I'll be following the temp knob thing. I guess I am being dense, because I really don't get it. :)

Great looking work on the oven. It looks heavy. Hope you can move it to where it's going to operate. I guess that Carl inspected the welds, and passed them.
Nice score on the radiator fans. They look like they'd move a lot of air.
