learnin to graze
Ben is learning to graze on wheat grass....hope he doesn't prefer it to hay when he gets older. He did good this week - gained 11 pounds and 4.5" of height to his withers. Shot a video of our game that should probably stop soon...he's getting pretty strong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdMwoLzPBEI Ben is up to his max of milk replacer per day now (1/2 gallon 3 times a day) so he will have to start taking his free choice solid food if he is hungry between bottle feedings. The kid has a big/hard head and strong neck muscles for only 6 weeks old. 96,107,73,0,B,0

He's a real pretty boy. Liked the video!
Nice progress for Ben's 6th week of life. Great vid! Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures and video.
You're such a good mama/papa!
that is so good for him John... he'll be a lot easier to handle when he's a big boy
end part was the nest...almost lap dog like!
Ben has come along way from that mud pit that day where his mama passed.
Good for you John, you make desert spirits smile.
The video :-)
I loved your video playing with Ben. I posted a link to it on my blog. Hope to see you again someday. It has been a few years since I was there.
Wow, the video was great. This will really get interesting as he matures to his full size/weight. When you sat down at the end and he quickly moved in for a nice nuzzle. Priceless!
Loved the video! I do the same with my 55 pound Queensland Heeler and I've ended up with a bloody nose and a bit tongue on two different occasions. I can only imagine what damage Ben might inflict!
Great video
Very good video! Which one is Ben?
the noggin bump is the new fist bump...
odd perspective in the right photo - Ben looks like an A&F bovine runway model right down to the lashes and stride... a new twist on the ol' cattle call.

Looks like you've got a real close friend for the next 25 - 30 years! Good for both of you!
Good to see the little guy coming along well.
The video was great!
Beautiful &I getting so big.
