How very wonderful. I received some nice gifts like this but I just realized that none of these thoughtful relatives are alive anymore.
Aunt Mary Lou...one of your former chick ladies. Very sweet of her to send such a nice care package.
There seems to be a strong family resemblance between John and his lovely Aunt.
I've never heard of Figi's, but it's clearly the sort of establishment I could learn to value. What a nice gift for you!
Brings back memories, John. My mom sent me this exact sampler before she died in 2013. I saved all the little jars to use for seeds, and to remember her by.
I love these. Glad you received one.
When I served in The Corps overseas, the Swiss Colony gift packs (very similar) were popular gifts. Supplementing monotonous MREs with added ingredients, a good Summer Sausage or smoked cheese brings the 'A' game!
John, the very best Christmas and New Year to you. Have read your blog from the first few posts and am always pleased to see you adapt and overcome. Blessings in 2016 and maybe the wife and I will get out to you from Fort Worth this year with the gifts of the Three Texas Wisemen; Booze, BBQ and Bullets. Stay safe, brother.
