To follow the sun..or something.

The obvious answer...but this motor is too small for that.

To run the power washer/duster (because it won't fit in the Bike-O-Worsher).

Motor rotates a screen with an aperture through which the focused reflected light strikes the bottom of the target plate; the speed of the motor responds to a temperature control signal. The control setpoint can be adjusted to maintain a selected plate temperature (hypothetical configuration).

Did I blunder into the right answer, thereby confirming the old adage about disabled squirrels and acorns ?

If that's not correct, how about to power some kind of mirror-cleaning device ? Probably not necessary, since apparatus would be used intermittently. The suspense is.....enjoyable ?

To make tilting the dish easier. Or for some type of a screen above to keep the dish from being so hot when needed.

Prince Rupert's Drop has a flaw-the tail. Humans have flaws. No one is perfect. Let he who is without blame cast the first stone.

Margery Billd said...

Significance of comparing the tail (PRD) of the serpent, a lot of hypothetical involved interpretations, but of course the Drop was invented after the Bible was written. So God is all powerful. (Interesting about how Messianic idea came about). (Somehow I think the Drop has nothing to do with the Bible and is sacrireligious).

I think that God's wonders of the world do not include PRD which is a man-made discovery.

Your church treats the Old Testament differently than mine does. That is why we have different religions with some variance in interpretation. I will stay with mine. I do not have a very good opinion of some of the people I have recently met from your denomination. But that can vary from area to area. I will stay with my denomination which is Methodist (but I also like a few others such as Baptist).

Sacrilegious-sorry

Some people I have met think that their (your) church has the chosen people and everyone else is a sinner. I cannot abide with that anywhere in any religion. But there is one God and my favorite book is the Bible. So I like some of your postings. :-)

At one point years ago I quit going to the Methodist church for awhile and went to many other denominations. The reason was because the old bony-fingered minister yelled at us during his sermans and ranted and waved and pointed his skinny, wrinkled, long finger at us and called us sinners. So I had the freedom not to go to his lectures of hate. God is the judge, not man. Judge not, lest ye be judged. I guess he was doing what he was taught and what he thought was right. Those were the old days before the churchs lost so many members and shut down and then gathered and tried to bring all the religions closer together in faith.

Margery...none of your comments even come close to why there is a motor - but I love you anyway.

XXX To adjust the height of the cooking surface? Just a wild guess; as I doubt the motor could survive the high temps.

Tune in Friday night for the answer...
