the Christian's armor...

My long path here is obvious to me now.  Can you see your path?  You are only in control if you can see the big picture and distinguish between good and evil.  Open the eyes of your heart...

Ephesians (NLT)6:10.  A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. 13 Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness.

I think you need to find yourself a nice widow. You are spending to much time alone in the desert with a few steers and a chicken to talk too!

I mean, seriously, how is this qualitatively different from that guy who believes that all the world leaders are actually alien lizard-people? (David Icke for anyone who wants to look it up.)

It's just amazing how the majority of these people behind the comments Just. Don't. Get. It. Many thanks John. Stay strong. You're on the path meant for you.

I don't feel there is any more "bile" in these comments, frankly, than in John's blog post. So militaristic in tone! Hasn't Christianity evolved beyond this?

Have you looked into Buddhism, John?

We have bunch of people who think I deserve to be tortured for eternity for the crime of not believing accusing me of spewing bile and hatred. That's just rich. Please don't put me in the same camp as BBC who posted earlier, either. I'm not in favor of violence.

I don't hate Christians; I hate irrational beliefs. What is is it you guys are so fond of saying? "Love the sinner, hate the sin." I think most Christians are good, moral people.

The New Testament was written by gentiles, when contrasted with the Old Testament it stretches credibility to the breaking point.

God acted in real time meting out reward or punishment whereas the Son doles out parables and promises of future rewards on a nonspecific timeline.
