pretty disgusting in places..sort of reminds me of salvaging a boat. At least you saved step one..getting it to float.
Find any critters in the dark recesses ?

Looks like a money pit to me, your greenhouse was closer to being livable than that aluminum can.

The plan is to create a comfortable living space as cheaply as possible FYI...a brand new 2015 28' Airstream Land Yacht starts at $145,634.

Ok I thought you were going to restore it to spec. All those inside curves to finish would drive me to drink.

You need to get a poodle.

I kind of like the idea and perhaps it's appeal is a challenge but I thought the shipping containers were planned for living spaces.

Looking at that mangled wheel well compartment - seems to indicate the former owners rode that puppy hard - and put it up wet! I would vote on doing needed repairs in December, January, and February when temperatures moderate.

My parents had an Airstream here in Texas many years ago. They loved it and went everywhere in the U.S. They belonged to a club of Airstream owners and met sometimes at rallies. I never thought their Airstream was as great as they thought it was. Later they used their airstream as a guest place at one of their hill country homes (where one of my sons lives now). I've watched u-tube videos of people who renovated trailers (and knew a few people who did also). It is a great idea and the trailers-mobile homes can really turn out very well. I suppose good insulation in the desert would be a good idea. Nice going John. Seems like you're on the winning track.

They sold their Airstream years ago (boo hoo) - all about the money.

back that baby up to one of those shipping contains and cut a doorway!

If new Airstreams sell for that much, sounds like renovating old ones could be a viable income stream...
