Close to the café ... good choice of rooms.
Hope you get better soon. Jarah Olga
Look at that, snow gone and a beautiful day. Regular Texas weather. Wait 30 minutes and the weather will change. Hopefully the road will be more passable in a day or so. I always like a good cafe with good company. That's how I learned all the local news on the back roads when I traveled (along with truck stops because the truckers always knew the weather conditions). Well, just kick back and enjoy the moment.
That reminds me of pop corn because sometimes at Youth and Senior Hostles
or group boarding situations we would have pop corn parties and sometimes watch Dallas. We put cayenne pepper on the popcorn.
There is an article in the Febuary Texas Monthly about Texas ranches and how they are passed down generation to generation. Hard to buy in. I have a ranchette. (Which my daughter thinks Texas should have back). And she decided my house should be torn down and the relatives come in and sell everything and go home. My offsprings have bigger ideas. I always picked up pennies off the road and then I had two coins to rub together (rich in my heart).
Pennies...Reminds me a number of years ago, I'm coming across the causeway from the beach and I see this giant of a man on his hands and knees in the dirt. I pull off the road and as I'm running up to him ,or more accurately limping at a frenzied pace I realize ,I know this guy.I start yelling John are you OK ? Do you need an ambulance ? Thought he'd been mugged, shot by the druggies under the bridge or maybe a heart attack. As I get up on him I see what's going on. Someone had been parked there before and dumped an ashtray full of butts and pennies.
speaking of pennies… would a leg cost update be possible? estimated total medical number and apprximate out-of-pocket… find that snapsot helpful in contemplating possible ramifications…gracias.
The mystery deepens. Did John get home. We won't know til Momday.
