a few grams of flesh...

Last trip to Alpine for the year...followup with Dr. Butt Jabber in Alpine today.  Good news - no sign of any bugaboos in the tiny polyp he removed.  Stocked up and hunkering down till 2018.  Slight chance of rain tonight.  68,77,35,0,B

Wasn't it Dr Jabber de Butt, BIG fellow ? Happy hunkerin' I may have to get out once more for fire blocks and grub, before then. Have you ever wondered why did they put the turn in the road...were they bored? Or was it more "WAKE UP" ... Congrats on the good news.

Yesterday I headed one place in San Marcos, TX, and wound up in another, the HEB grocery, but just for one item. So I walked out with a big pre-cooked sliced deli ham and $20.00 worth of free items on this special offer. San Marcos is a college town and I thought it was so good that HEB offered all this comfort food for the holidays for the college area. The clerks eyes were just shining when he checked me out. So now I can hunker down. (There was free ice cream 1/2 gallon, big chips and 2 bottles of dips, mac & cheese, fudge brownies, 12 pack of seltzer water, BBQ sauce, roasting pan, spatula, also tamales). And I picked up a few other things. That was such a nice thing the grocery people did. People were so nice to me in the grocery and let me check out first. I must have been the oldest one in the grocery.
