I noticed last night one of the dove eggs had a chip in it. This morning one of them hatched. The parents gave me just enough time to get in there and grab some quick photos. Seems like momma dove was keeping an eye on you and came back quickly to check on her newborn.
Was it the papa that came screaming back and had to check everything before nesting?
Yes that was the father. But he wasn't necessarily screaming. Doves often make that noise when they are about to land.
