Lots of loose ends to tie up before the sheathing goes on - trimming the rafter tails, blocking on the gable ends and porch rafters, cutting the roof osb to size. Waiting till this round of possible severe thunderstorms passes before I continue. Need to get the whole thing sheathed without any chance of high winds. Interesting to watch your progress and distinct method. Here in Maine we always sheath the walls before we even stand them up. Helps keep the box square before you put the roof up.
M.Silvius….That is a good method...if you have help standing up the walls.
Yep - we started putting up a simple shed that way - and the two of us could hardly get the walls up and hold them til we secured them.
Have you got any thoughts on a potential cooling for this place? Are they going to "solarize" and "swamp cooler" it?
Or am I stealing thunder from future work here! ;-)
congrats on your product and admiration for you multi-faceted skill set!
Climate control is not really that much of an issue since the client will not be visiting during the hottest part of the year. That being said...there will be enough solar to run a small AC or swamp cooler if need be.
Are you also going to set up the solar system?
