I was wondering if you have a ridge vent.
No ridge vent but I may install vents near the ceiling at the gable ends.
Sounds good. Hope the sand would stay out. When we get sand from Africa here in central TX I have sat and watched it just rain down fine tan dust in the house in the country. Unbelievable.
