Getting ready...

...for the final trim and flooring in the Casita.  Removed all my tools, hardware, and temporary carpets and kitchen counter that were on loan for the client's last visit.  49,63,49,0,W

Hello & Bonjour,

My name is Laurent. I'm a 70 year old retired Long Island, SCPD NY Police officer (no kids) who retired in 2000 after nearly 30 years service and moved to France where I met my French wife and married her a few years later.( I speak fluent French)

I was forced by the rules of the Tax Man to buy a house in NY if ever I expected to spare a good portion of my retirement income; So, I bought a house in a small village of Washington, County in the Adirondacks as soon as I could. My wife and I return to this home several months of each year, every year in the late Spring through to early Fall.

I stumbled upon your story on YouTube just today and found it fascinating. I looked up your name and your approximate location on Google Earth and was astonished that I found you so easily. I was curious to know in what county you established yourself when in upstate New York? RSVP

I lived in Columbia County. The taxes there were killing me. $12,000 per year for a big farmhouse on 35 acres. Out here in SW Texas I pay just a little over $300 per year for my little house and 100 acres of land.
