Looks great! No need for leaf cages.
When you get your tank in place you might check out "Tank Town" on the Internet. They have been filtering rain water for drinking purposes for several years.
Very nice job, John. It looks really good.
Imagine all of that clean rain water instead of the brown creek bed stuff you have been pumping
