3 hours drilling and chipping in the shade this morning and almost done with hole #3.  Got some nice big chunks out of this one.  96,107,75,0,B

Hard to imagine a boot hill out there.

Also maybe put a time capsule in the concrete around that pole - some space aliens might find it in a million years.

John'

what about using an electric jack-hammer?

I seen thease things for rent at tool rental places, may save you a mess of effort. Hook it up to your generator and diggin holes.

make sure you put some feed in it for Benita's descendants, I'm sure they'll still be lurking around.

much wider and you or Benita might fall in -- maybe put something over that so Benita doesn't put a leg down there

Fantastic rock specimen! After the first couple of holes, you seem to be getting your stride in digging them. I hope they're getting easier for you.

Just mix those rocks with cement and put them right back in that hole

Hey, John, I've hacked out some pretty hard holes for shrubs and trees up here in Connecticut, but nothing like the ones you dig.

Tell me, you think any type plant could live in a hole like No. 3?
