Turned Ebay forks'n'spoons into clean nuggets today....ready to remelt into ingots tomorrow. Will broadcast some of the procedure on Ustream at http://ustre.am/TM8N  I have a new greenhouse lizard buddy this season.  He seems to like hanging out nearby while I'm working the furnace.  His name is Mr. Lizard (clever!)  83,97,65,0,B,.16

So that's what you were doing when i peeked in. figured you were melting something. noticed you had to keep changing hands with the torch (? correct term?). wonder what Carl thinks for Mr. Lizard.

A cautionary tale: I too had lizard buddies last year, of the collared variety, but in my outdoor garden. Just a few of them thoroughly relished and destroyed the fruits of my labor, particularly Black Krim tomatoes and grapes. More persistent than birds, and more agile than packrats in getting through the shadecloth I used to exclude pests. Take care!

That's a female Desert Spiny Lizard. Though this species sometimes eats plants, the predominant food is small insects. She will help keep your scorpion population in check!
