Undeserving

Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain

I have visited many churchs around here but I rarely go now and I do not have a whole congregation to back me up. i am also not a criminal trying to look good.When I was younger I went to everything in many churches and was active. i still read the Bible. Maybe i am lazy and don't want to get up at the crack of dawn to go around a bunch of phoney, care less, know nothing, trying to put their criminal past behind them, gossiping, hoping to be thought good people. I started losing interest years ago as a divorced mother- which the doctors demanded I do- when the ministers would look at us and wave their fingers at us and tell us how depraved we were or how bad the neighborhood was or about all the mental illness as the churchs were being boarded up. I needed something helpful, uplifting and positive about constructive living. And what upset me were all the evangelists in the past who buttonholead me and asked me if I was saved and claimed that their religion was the only one. Or in Germany- and isolated in a German community where I later learned German from the U. of Md European Division-when the Morman missionaries would not tell me about their religion or give me the time of day (I was a young woman). Later the Morman missionaries briefly converted my daughter and her girlfriend but she denies it now. It was o.k. A few years ago I was invited to my first evangelist meeting. But then I learned that the woman who invited me was not in the church because she was entertaining the visiting evangelists from all over Texas. I'm done. Currently I do not need the church people to drive me, get my medicine, mow my yard, etc. like the other older people use the church people for - I don't do that. Sometimes I realize I have a little? problem with patience. Anyway other people are not my business-not to judge. Everyone has their own path.

A Priest once told me the church is for sinners trying to do better. And that we should remember all of the good things that the church stood for through the years. And the Baptist in AK told me we need a church congregation to support us.So be it.
