evil surmisings...

1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.  But godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Now I know why Native people (Indians) give thanks when they get an animal, thanking the animal for giving himself to them. The other night I had the best steak dinner at the Startz Cafe in Canyon Lake. The central Klu Klux Klan from the area around here meets in the adjoining church and then goes next door for the big dinner. The noisy place was packed with white people. I knew the original owner many years ago.(It was the only place out here for cokes and I went in with the realtors in their suits. I had on my work clothes from Randolph AFB where I wrote T-37 aircraft security reports (my stacked blond hair, suit, painted nails, high heels). Of course granny Startz wanted this painted-me-fallen woman out of there). Anyway the man with the bull he sold from across the street is married in this Startz family. Next he plans to have two Bulls. (People worked all their lives to retire in this zoned, quiet, safe area, but 4-H tops zoning).

The Bull won 2nd place with a red ribbon in 4-H. Poor boy. He was so smart and sweet.

Well, I was told this Farmer disrespects the Property Owners Association (where one woman recently traveled the world and had stolen $89,000.00 from the POA and then died afterwards in a car crash). The people are upset with him running a business out of his house and heavy equipment trucks and Mexican workers showing up all day. 🤓

(The only things I ever knew about 20 years ago-I bought my land 60 years ago-were the Meth Labs around here when my past dogs alerted me since I belong to the Sheriff Association). Some people did not like me.

I'm still trying to process "the central Ku Klux Klan from the area around here", but...perhaps Margery is suggesting that awarding ribbons to 4-H animals, then sending them to slaughter, is our way of "thanking" them for their sacrifice, as native Americans do? And yet worlds apart.
