Crazy Aunt Jean

2 of my Crazy Aunt Jean Palo Verdes finally sprouted some new leaves.. They grew from seed to 2' last year.  Got a crazy snow globe from my friend Joe in Denver.

Earthbox week 2 for the beans and week 3 for the squash.

Cleared the NE corner for more planters.

A shade house I can understand better than a greenhouse out in your part of the state.

Thanks for the update on Aunt Jean's trees. I've been curious on how much they grew. I didn't realize they were so prickly.

If you decide to supplement water to your "green stick" you will be amazed at how fast it grows. The thorns are mighty, especially on new growth so the critters will leave it alone. I am glad you have a survivor, it should be easy street for this one now that it's taken hold.

Please continue to pray for the safe return of Benita. As we head into Easter--and you may be stepping up your prayers this week--please remember to pray for Benita's safety and safe return.
I fear she may have been taken captive. What are the chances of that? Could someone have her?

Things are greening up substantially down your way. I hope you get some rain, so you can sustain all that growth. It looks great, John. You've done a tremendous amount of work there over the last few years, and it's really starting to pay off now. Best of luck this growing season.

Love the snow globe. It encompasses so many elements of the west Texas landscape....except for the snow!
