They ain't got many chickens in New York do they? You in Texas now John. Texas chickens climb slap out that pen like likity slpit.
We also used old pallets to make a chicken coop and it worked out pretty good. My wife and I make and sell a chicken waterer that uses a stainless steel valve. We'd like to send you and Carl a free one if you are interested?
Zona de pollo..muy bien !
like the progress...r u going to do aquaponics......
like the progress....r u going to do any aquaponics.....
I am a great lover or pallets since we have made so many things with them lately. Love the look of this.
Mark...I could use a good waterer. Will trade you a Benita Tshirt for one.
Billy Bob is right. Those chickens are birds -- they will fly the coop. My late mother-in-law built a chicken HOUSE with a fenced in yard, and fenced over the top.
BB...the chickens I knew in NY could fly pretty good - thats why I'm gonna stretch bird netting over the top of the pen.
cool lookin' pallet pen! perfect recycle idea. Carl and the ladies will be very happy back there.
John - You can also clip one wing
to keep them from flying the coop.
That's what the free range operations do - just a thought...
When I had chickens, when let out into the fenced "chicken" yard, they usually stayed in. They could fly, however, and if they wanted out there was no trouble. They just felt safer in the pen.
Love the pallet fence! Nothing like a quality pallet rescued from a dumpster to get my creative juices flowing.
John. Snakes will get through the pallets and eat your eggs and any chicks you might have. Trust me on this one. You need chicken wire.
A Benita T-shirt sounds like a great trade. Send us an Email with your delivery information which can be found at this page

John knows chickens...
NY Coop
Won't the chickens cook being on the SE corner? Or is it around the corner so they won't get the afternoon sun?
I've seen a lot of things built with pallets, but your pallet fence is the best looking thing I've seen done with them. It looks great. Great recycling use, also.
There seem to be a lot of chicken experts here.
checkout www.waldeneffect.org The couple that blog support themselves by selling a poopless chicken water device!
