new glass/new snake

Got my tempered glass for the new solar ovens today.  Very impressive packing job they did.  http://www.onedayglass.com/  Also got some bits from Harbor Freight including something to help my old man eyes see up close for upcoming soldering.  Went shopping this afternoon at my friend Mikey Sklar's online store.  Ordered his battery charger/desulfator kit to evaluate.  http://store.holyscraphotsprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=107

Well...here is rattlesnake #3 that I have killed at TFL in 4 1/2 years .  This one was right next to the SW container door.  85,107,70,0,B,0

Next Benita Memorial Tshirt order includes his rattle.

Hard to take a decent self portrait, but that looks like a pretty good effort - just don't take a nap out in the sun with that rig clipped to your specs... it would be like a scene out of Revenge of the Ants...

John, I'm surprised you just didn't remove the snake to another place. You are not any safer. You moved into rattlesnake territory! I believe you have a mouse problem? If you are worried get some "snake proof " gaiters!

I have one of Mikey's YATC2 Temperature Controllers, and it works great for tempeh, etc.

Well, the Rev has a good point! Eating rattlesnakes is a sustainable resource.

As always.... finding inspiration thru your posts. Hoping to meet you in person this weekend when we get in. Just launched our little blog over at www.our180.com. We've got a lot to learn!

Nice glass, dude.

Can you see me now?

That battery thingy seems like just the thing, with many applications. Let us know how it works.

So Long, Sneaky Snake.

Hmmmm, yes, just read the mouse problem post and said, "ah ha, poor old rattlesnake would have taken care of that problem for you." We had a rattlesnake that lived under our porch for three years, we had two bouncy, silly, air-headed dogs at the time and no one was ever harmed. The snake minded his business and we minded ours (the dogs required a little instruction but they got the message and stayed out of the snake's way). We never had a pack-rat problem until the snake had moved on.
