The critter came in again last night but preferred range feed over the tuna in the trap. Cleaned up and put away all the leftover bits in the greenhouse and will bait the trap tonight with range feed and some dessert. Marshmallows seem to be the bait of choice from what I read online. I just hope this brand doesn't attract bears. 85,93,62,0,B

If you had a mango in that box it would have been a done deal already.
I think racoons are fairly smart critters... we'll see
Maybe you will need to roast the marshmallows for that critter. It seems to be a picky eater.
If a racoon were your friend it would probably fight off any visiting raccoons and they don't bother other small critters.
I've trapped a number of raccoons that were living in the crawl space above my office. They were safely relocated alive and pissed off.
Sardines. Just open the can and set it in the trap. The ones I caught could not resist.
Fungal spores in racoon feces can cause coughing and death in humans. Also urine can do damage and smell and there is mold.
don't hurt the little guy and make sure you leave a bag of range feed with him wherever he goes.
What Rita said. Thanks for your compassion John.
