Baby George the rescued rabbit was released into the wild on Sunday morning. He should be fine as he has a rather large support group. love love love! Happy Trails, George!
Free at last, free at last, thank God George is free at last! (Even after only a day or so.) Thanks for taking care of your critters, John. You have a good heart.
Probably the best Monday Matinee I've ever seen ... Go George!
Jackrabbits have such expressive eyes.
...these are not jackrabbits - they are desert cottontails.
Did George get an ID mark?
I was going to mark him but he really didn't care for being handled so I skipped doing it to avoid stressing him. He does have a natural mark - a dark spot on his left shoulder so I will be able to identify him in the future...at least for awhile.
Hopefully George will come back for a snack or two?
George will be back for a snack & drink of water - and you can bet your boots on that! That is - if a coyote does not eat him first!
