Yes, those critters are desert cottontails. I did not realize they are so small and then they have the little powder puff tails. One of my sons used to line his gloves with snowshoe hare pelts. Whatever. Thanks for the correction.
You really have the most amazing expressive skies over there JW. Absolutely stunning! We have the same over here in autumn towards April May when our hot tropical humid summer haze has lifted. Wanted to know ...is George the only only one of his breed over there now? If he is will he eventually interbreed with the cottontails? A new bunny breed then?
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Once I bid at a farm auction (do not remember why I was there) on a sweet white baby bunny. Won. Took him (her?) home and he played with my baby Himalayan/Persian kitten. So cute. Then I left the OSU OH area and gave the bunny to a young granddaughter (from a family of Applacian Hillbillies). But later had trepidation about that. I could have kept the bunny. I did not know they are so smart and live a long time like a cat. I also did not know there are so many different kinds of hopping things along those lines. (I heard recently that they chew wires).
