Thanks and blessings to all who have paid the price for the rest of us to be free. We are the best and the worst all in one. No place is like this place. No place can be like this place. We live in a time of divisiveness, but we are all one people, Americans. Those who gave all for us to have that name, are to be remembered, thanked and blessed.

Yep, that's what I saw this afternoon when I took the garbage bag outside to the trash can - nothing - a ghost area. Everyone was inside in the air conditioning. Supposed to be 104 here in a few days and is over 100 now. Then there is the added heat of the heat index and sun and no breeze. Beautiful blue clear skies with the silver glint of a private plane over the lake and some black vulchers. I had to tie my Red Wolf/Shepherd/Catahoula dog up this morning to bring him in today. The heat was too much the last 2 days. He is outside this evening. A Texan told me the front of the house should face the rising sun and the back the setting sun because the breeze comes from the South or something like that. Anyway I have breeze in the open area on the side of my house. Works for me. Maybe the house is supposed to be facing South.
