a little sink...

A little plumbing job for the owners of the Casita.  A small (cold water only) lavatory.  Luckily the water and drain lines were rather easy to get to for the hookup.  Leaving the connections exposed until they pass the leak test.  86,94,73,0,B

Keeping in mind that I'm not being critical of the new owners - this is just a general observation about how people are programmed in what they consider to be a functional home. (This coming from someone who has lived quite comfortably without indoor plumbing for almost 15 years). The client wanted this installed for hand washing and teeth brushing when there is a perfectly adequate water source and drain for those uses just 2 feet away in the shower. I have to say though that it is cute as a button as far as lavatories go...

I’ve never just washed my hands in the shower or just brushed my teeth in the shower. Seems like a logical thing for proper hygiene, even if off the grid, to have a cute as a button lavatory to wash hands and brush teeth. Maybe the difference between full time off the grid and part time.

remmij - that is a $1,000 Nature's Head composting toilet the original Casita owner insisted on buying.
