I have a feeling the eggs are coming soon. The thrashers seem to have finished all the "framing carpentry" and are concentrating on the "finish carpentry". The outer part of the next is mostly thorny twigs and now they are spending all their time padding the bowl in the center with grass. 80,90,53,0,B

They use some big twigs for a bird no bigger than they are.
I bet the thorny twigs offer some protection from snakes and such. So do you have to keep that fan off for awhile? Like all bird nests...a marvel of construction.
