Interesting Bible study at the Cain's in lieu of services today.  The first lesson was that the Bible is not just a book...a book of history.  Each time you open it up to read - God is speaking directly to you.  I like this concept and accept it through faith.  It makes for a much more immersive reading experience.  If you listen very carefully - you can hear the words spoken to you as you read them.  This is what God said to me today.

Proverbs 12: 5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. 7 The wicked are overthrown , and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand . 8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.9 He that is despised , and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.  

the tent...

Another cold front coming in tomorrow...might get sub freezing overnight temps Sunday - Wednesday.  Finished framing up and plasticizing the warm corner in the greenhouse.  Ambient outside high today was 59...the tent got up to 81.  Hope it will help hold some heat over the cold nights coming.  45,60,48,0,W,0

Michael Bunker

Could have really used a bright/sunny day today to dry out my road. Lots of soaked ruts to contend with since some joker plowed through yesterday.   Cloudy = wet road and low power.  Not much happening here today other than steer bonding and light chores. Twisted 40 more t post clips into place then worked on my generator for awhile - I think I have it narrowed down to a bad AVR.  Started the latest book by my friend Michael Bunker...  Wick.

RAIN

Just over 2" of rain in the last 15 hours.  Posting early before I run out of power.  Sunny day coming up so will post today's cheese experiment tomorrow.  In the meantime - something to think about...

Our 80% chance of rain turned into sunny most of the day.  Continued "prepping" for some rain tomorrow  by moving part of my quarry over to the barn.  Soaked some moringa seeds over night and stuck 'em in dirt today for an early start.  Winter seems to zoom by out here and before I know it - it's hot again.  Will keep these in the house where it's warm till they sprout.

Just got this photo from my friend Sheila Collins (Dick Cain's daughter).  This is Dick's steer, Blanco.  Hard to imagine that Ben will be this size in about 7 years...I hope he will still enjoy a nap in the hay with me when he is this big.  44,58,37,0B, .24
