Hebrews 11
1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
-Read the rest of chapter 11 to learn about the heros of faith
Just as there is the phrase blinded by faith, the overwhelming senses of the physical world cause far too many to blinded from faith. The substance is there...the evidence is all around us but not seen. Faith does not just happen...like a plant in the desert - it must be nurtured in order to grow. Just takes a little practice and an open heart. 58,78,38,0,B,0

Well said, John. Amen. Thanks again.
Well said. Good works are also needed. Even Satan believes.
Again well said my friend.
Childhood indoctrination helps too. Ever wonder why you're posting bible verses instead of Koran verse?
When God created man he gave him the power of reason and I see Noble knows how it works!
I have faith that we have this moment. And perhaps that the sun will be there tomorrow, and for quite a long time to follow. Faith won't change these things, but might alter how I experience and explain them as other than a passive observer.
Perhaps faith is the predecessor of desire and by any other name, want.
Mostly it seems faith is distorted and abused into mechanisms of organized control, power, and cash.
So I steer (pun) away from faith, trusting instead on the 5 or so senses, and the occasionally useful nodule just above the shoulders. Now I don't put too much stock (pun) into it, as there's one thing I know it's so capable of producing: a big pile of bull (pun).
Brain seems to work. Hasn't let me down yet. There's my faith. Until otherwise clobbered by something.
Faith, hope and love. Thanks John.
if you can imagine the thing..it is real
Peace
@chimeric,
Which word of god is that?
Good words today. Don't heed your critics. You are on the right track.
Thank you John.
