correction

After reading some of the comments about the recently killed burro...I began to think - why would someone cut off the head of a dead burro?  Even the hooves in that photo I shot looked right.  If it looks like a dead burro and smells like a dead burro - it must be a burro.  Right?  Since TFL is still closed, I decided to take a closer look today.  NOT a burro.  I can't even fault the driver for hitting a deer because he must have been distracted trying to avoid hitting any burros.  85,97,55,0,C,0

Maybe it had trophy antlers. Was it a buck?

Still a shame though. Why didn't they eat it

Yes, "still a shame" indeed. Hunters who kill animals oughta eat them.

Geez...maybe you folks ought to find out if it was shot, hit or just died of old age before you go off half-cocked on hunters, "I can't even fault the driver for hitting a deer" So was it hit or does it have a HOLE THROUGH I ?

I passed the scene soon after it happened on my way to Alpine. The Coors distributor was waiting by the side of the road with the front grill on his white van all smashed. 4 hours later on my way home, I passed the van on a flatbed tow truck heading off for fixin.

Dang sorry for the deer, but glad no one in the vehicle was seriously hurt. it makes for difficult driving out there the way animals can suddenly appear....they blend in so well with the terrain. Coors can afford the fix...i know a couple people around here who's bar tabs alone would cover the vehicle. (Very glad it wasn't a burro)

I am surprised someone didn't rob the beer truck while it was waiting for a tow truck. I hope the company didn't blame the driver for the accident.
