Bud and Ben must think that hay is like a big fancy salad. Noticed the three twines on the bale. Never have seen that here in MO. Most bale using two twine bale or the bigger round bales. Enjoy Bud and Ben the tasty treat of your salad.

good thing that nasty old govt built roads and kept them open so Field Lab could stay in business, eh?

Howdy FL,
We feed 3-string bales of Californica small-stem Bermuda to our miniatures, drive 350 miles to get it, @ $35 a bale, including gas to get it... Anything coarser is TOOOO hard for them to digest...
Of course it's TOOO much trouble for Joyce to feed the others separately, so they eat the $35 hay too, also...
I thank the CCC & WPA for the roads..
Hope y'all have a HAPPY DAY!!!

Am I alone in puzzling at the fact that, when it's time to furlough "non-essential" US government employees, 80% of 'em go home?

To which I say "no loss"!

At The Field Lab, as John lives out so well, there is no such distinction. Work is purposeful, shared with others to encourage, and has lasting meaning.

I am puzzled also K1MGY. If these government employees are non-essential, then why have them at all?. If you don't need them then you don't need them.

Seems to me we need to pull them from the tit and send them off the grid.

John and real hard working, self enterprising Americans can't shut down. They are essential everyday.
