it's all about the wind...

Trying to get my kiting practice in but after 5 days of too much wind while Kurt was here to train me, now there is barely enough wind to get anything done.  Good news is I haven't gotten dragged by a gust, and better yet I'm starting to have moments of zen with the wing - did one perfect reverse when the breeze was just right.  I have to get the the point where I just do what I need to without thinking about it.  80,100,48,0,C

I always found it impossible to fly my little non-powered kites - with no wind. And flying a kite with too much wind - well that was a sure way to destroy my kite. Sounds like some things are the same - but then I never left the ground with my kites.

Hope to see you flying over the Terlingua Ranch some day.

Yes, the wind, the mountains, the flat land you live on all contribute to everything you need to consider, not controllable but sailing thru the winds much like the ocean currents to others, see through the problems, utilize the currents and you will see and sail.
