trading...UP

Started working on the go kart today.  Got a buyer so I gotta get her cleaned up.  New brake lines and gas tank coming but she still runs like a charm.  Little extra TLC and I will have the bucks for a new cart for my paramotor.  Gonna be going up and down with wheels since my factory issued landing gear is defective.  86,91,60,0,W

Seems like a smart move. Wheels are your friend. Just make sure you keep the landing strip nice and smooth.

Good idea. I was wondering why you didn't go the wheeled route to begin with but never got around to asking.

I agree with Bruce about the importance of having "the landing strip nice and smooth"! If one was flying and had to land in a less than ideal place, I believe a much larger diameter front wheel would be significantly safer. I.E. Ask yourself why children's tricycles - have those large front wheels? I believe it reduces the risk of end over end - mishaps. But I don't know for sure - because I never owned a TRIKE - about seventy five years ago!

In the beginning I wanted to say something about the massive machine you rolled on but then every dog has its day and I did not want to be a critical old fuddy duddy like my children might have commented on for perfectionism. At least you will live your life fully according to your wishes (which is good). Living life fully does not mean a person has a death wish. Just driving is dangerous enough. I guess when it is our time that is it.

Go Trump. :-) Everyone has an opinion, You know what that means. As they say in AA. Opinions are like a--h----, everyone has one.

PPG trikes and quads are configured the way that they are with the sized wheels they have because that is what works best after many years of practical flight testing. Larger wheels act like rudders in the wind and can cause control problems while flying.

Here we go. Cruz has chosen Carly Fiorina as his running mate. She is from Texas and Italian I guess that seals it. I like her. She is smart and diplomatic and they could do a lot for Texas.

I guess a pair of ovaries is always what a man needs to propel him forward and there are some really smart and wonderful women who make the man.

I think by locating the front wheel a somewhat greater distance from the passenger seat, one could also minimize end over end landings on rough terrain - without the disadvantages of going to a larger diameter front wheel.

Ronald - An end over end landing has never happened in the sport - the lift of the wing won't allow that to happen. Although there are some models that have it, a wheel further out front can cause what is called porpoising while in the air. (Rocking up and down from front to back like a seesaw.) Keeping the center of gravity consolidated instead of drawn out is what keeps these stable in flight. Like I said...those that fly these contraptions have got it figured out and know what works best.
